Project Manager for Transition Projects
Position Overview
- This role involves full responsibility for managing the transition of SAP, Microsoft, and other IT systems into modern data center environments, including those operated by hyperscalers. It plays a central role in coordinating complex IT infrastructure projects and ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the transition of enterprise IT systems to data centers, with a focus on SAP and Microsoft platforms.
- Acting as the primary coordination point for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project execution in collaboration with sub-project managers across all service areas.
- Working closely with colleagues based in the Alexandria office and international teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
Your Background & Approach
- Extensive experience as an IT project manager, ideally in the areas of IT transitions, data center migrations, or outsourcing.
- Strong technical understanding of the operational requirements for SAP and enterprise IT systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Recognized certifications in IT project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and client environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is essential; German language skills are a strong asset.
