Project Manager for Transition Projects

 

Position Overview

  • This role involves full responsibility for managing the transition of SAP, Microsoft, and other IT systems into modern data center environments, including those operated by hyperscalers. It plays a central role in coordinating complex IT infrastructure projects and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the transition of enterprise IT systems to data centers, with a focus on SAP and Microsoft platforms.
  • Acting as the primary coordination point for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project execution in collaboration with sub-project managers across all service areas.
  • Working closely with colleagues based in the Alexandria office and international teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

 

Your Background & Approach

  • Extensive experience as an IT project manager, ideally in the areas of IT transitions, data center migrations, or outsourcing.
  • Strong technical understanding of the operational requirements for SAP and enterprise IT systems.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Recognized certifications in IT project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and client environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; German language skills are a strong asset.
